하나하나의 문자는 시대의 팝(Pop)적인 요소를 내포하고 있다. 시대에 따라 문자의 의미와 이미지가 바뀌어 우리 주변에서 사라진 것 같지만, 사실은 남아 있다. 나는 잊혀진 것을 부여하는 것이 아니라, 그것을 찾는 것이며, 이 작업은 오랜 시간에 걸쳐 문자를 새기고 오리는 과정에서 회화성이 있고, 존재 의미는 빛에 의해 드러남을 보여준다. ■ 오윤석

Each letter contains a contemporary pop-element. Through changes in time, the meaning and images of the letter seems to have disappeared, but they are still around. I am not trying to grant meaning to the forgotten. I am merely searching for them. My work shows there is an element of fine art to the process of engraving and carving out letters over a long time, and the meaning of its existence is revealed through light. ■ OHYOUNSEOK
