Conceived in 2006 by Alexandra Munroe, Senior Curator of Asian Art, Guggenheim, Anish Kapoor: Memory (Deutsche Guggenheim Berlin, 30th Nov. 2008 to 1st Feb. 2009) was the second project of the Guggenheim Asian art initiative, following closely on the heels of the 2008 retrospective exhibition, Cai Guo-Qiang: I Want to Believe. Best known for his explorations into the concept of the void, Kapoor has interest in what lies below the surface, in the potential of the object to be self-evident.

075   CURATOR' VOICE | Nora A.Taylor Changing Identity: Recent works by Women Artists from Vietnam

Featuring approximately 50 works by ten contemporary Vietnamese artists who challenge the stereotypes and traditional roles of women in Vietnamese society, "Changing Identity: Recent Works by Women Artists from Vietnam" explores what it means to be a woman living in Vietnam today and brings to light a viewpoint often marginalized in Vietnamese culture. Since January 2007, it has exhibited at Kennesaw State University Gallery, Mills College Art Museum, Center for Visual Art in Metropolitan State College of Denver, Utah Museum of Fine Arts and so on. For its 10th tour, Weisman Art Museum, University of Minnesota is now showing the exhibition from 31st January till 24th May.
