전시에 등장하는 주인공은 몇 년 전부터 작업해오던 '인스턴트 보이'를 위해 만든 도상이다. 벌거벗고 무표정한 얼굴로 한곳을 바라보고 있으며 성별은 알아 볼 수 없다. 일정한 두께의 검정색 선과 가득 차있지만 아무것도 없는 공간. 즉, 음과 양으로 이루어진 사람의 형상이다. 행위의 목적은 상실한 채 주변에서 벌어지는 일들을 관조할 뿐이다. 어느 곳에도 속해있지 않고 어느 것도 판단할 수 없는 모습의 자화상이기도 하다. '플러스마이너스'의 경계에서 이들은 분노하지만 나약하고, 욕망하지만 얻지 못한다. ■ 부창조

The main character in the show is an icon made for 'Instant Boy' who had been worked for few years. Looking at one point with naked and impassive face. It's impossible to identify man or woman. Black line of uniform thickness and space filled with nothing. So to speak, it's man's figure that is composed of Yin and Yang(the positive and the negative). Just contemplate happenings around, losing purpose of action. It's a self-portrait which belong to nowhere and can judge nothing too. From the boundary of 'Plus & Minus' they get angry but weak, desire but can't gain. ■ BOOCHANGJO
