ANOTHER LANDSCAPE 20070905 ● 빠아 앙 -- 빵, 딸랑그랑 --. 빵빵 끼익--, 딸랑그랑 --. 부앙- 끼익 빵빵-- 딸랑그랑-- 덜커덩 쿵 빵빵-- 딸랑그랑-- ● 발바닥에 평평한 무언가가 느껴지는 순간 난 또 다른 풍경 속임을 알았다. 오랜만에 들어보는 약간 톡 쏘는 이 경쾌함에 다시금 살아있음을 확인한다. 가끔 우리는 복잡한 도시를 벗어나 자연과 함께 숨 쉬는 것을 좋아한다. 그것이 내 몸과 마음을 쉴 수 있게 해주는 유일한 풍경이라는 생각을 하면서... 자동차가 북적거리는 거리와 빈 공간을 멋있게 장식하고 있는 건물들 그 안에서 태양을 대신하는 조명까지 사소하게 생각했던 주변의 모든 것이 내게는 푸른 나무와 같은 또 하나의 풍경이 된다. 시끄럽지만 흥겨운 소음 속에서, 현란하지만 풍부한 색채 속에서, 복잡하지만 다양한 사람들 속에서도 우리는 기쁨과 만족 그리고 휴식을 느낄 수 있다. 이번 전시를 통해서 거리 한복판에서 휴식을 즐기는 방법을 맛보이고 싶었다. 신선한 공기가 아니어도, 탁 트인 산세가 아니어도 가끔은 복잡한 도심에서 내 머리를 맑게 하는 방법. 특별히 시간을 내지도, 이동할 필요도 없이 지금 당신이 서있는 그 자리에서 달콤한 여유를 맛볼 수 있기를 또한 나의 소박한 시도가 당신의 삶에 활력소가 되기를 기대해 본다. ■ 장재록

Another landscape 20070905 ● PPaaa~~angPpang, Ttalanggeurang--, Ppangppang Kkiik--, Ttalanggeurang--, Buang-Kiik PpangppangTtalanggeurang--, Deolkeodeong Kung PpangPpangTtalanggeurang(Noise from cars and chandeliers) ● I knew that I stood in another landscape at the moment which I felt an even something from the sole of my foot. I confirm my existence again through the somewhat stinking cheerfulness which I dont have ever listened for a long time. We like often drawing our breath with nature, freeing ourselves from a complicated city. We think that it is the unique landscape to help my body and mind take a rest. We thought all the things as a crowded street with a lot of cars, buildings decorating empty space nicely and illumination instead of the sun among buildings insignificant usually, but all the things become another landscape as green trees to me. In a delightful noise though it is noisy, in an abundant color though it is gorgeous, in various people though it is complicated, we can feel happy, pleasant and restful. I wanted to let people know how to enjoy a rest even in the middle of the street through this exhibition. Not a fresh air and not the top of a mountain which can see an open landscape, often in a complicated downtown, I wanted to let people know how to heal their soul. It is expected that you will be able to keep your sweet composure in the place which you stand now, not sparing a special time and not having the necessity to move and also that my simple trial will be able to give your life energy. ■ Jang jae-rok
