풍경의 마음

나의 작업은, 한가하게 천천히 산책하는 일상으로부터 출발한다. 그 때 마다 눈앞에 펼쳐진 풍경을 하염없이 바라보고, 또 바라보고 돌아온다. 그 풍경은 내 기억의 편린들과 오버랩 되어 선으로 재구성되어진 마음의 풍경이다. ● 내 그림 안의 선들은, 내 마음을 표현하기 위한 하나의 수단이며 모든 수식과 번잡함을 말끔히 지우고 단순히 자연 속으로 다가가는 나의 호흡이다. ● 나는 그러한 풍경을 하염없이 바라보며 그저 풍경의 마음으로 나의 작업을 대할 뿐이다. ■ 정미숙

My work begins with leisurely strolling a remote uncrowded area not a well-known place. When outside I look abstractedly at the scenes spread before my eyes. The landscapes overlap the fragments of my memory. They are in a sense mental images reshaped by thin lines. ● These thin lines are a vehicle to represent the subtle intricate state of my mind. They are to approach nature with a simple heart ridding of all complexity and embellishment. ● I face my work with the mind of woods and streams gazing ceaselessly at such landscapes. ■ Jeong mi- sook
