현존&부재 Π

현존&부재 Π ● 우주의 공간에 '나'라는 관점에서 접근한『현존과 부재I』개인전에서 부성애적 삶을 가시고기라는 주제로 한 연작의 의미로 모성적 주제로 현재의 여성상에 관한 의문을 제시하고자 한다. 가시고기의 헌신적인 사랑과 부권의 의미를 재조명하여『현존과 부재I』에서 나타내고자 하였다면, 이번 전시의 여성상에서의 자아표출은 대지 안에 속한 자연 본능의 잉태의 의미로 바탕화면에 돌가루를 섞어 대지 속에 숨어있는 포용력과 생성적 무한한 가능성을 나타내고자 하였다. 인간의 삶이 자연과 함께 이루어지며, 그 속성 안에는 희망, 포부, 발돋움, 활기찬 모습이 잠재되어 있으며, 사랑으로 내포된 대지와 여인을 하나로 묶어내어 그 주제를 설정하였다. 자연적 이미지의 기본바탕 안에서 단순한 선으로 묘사한 여인의 모습은 한 개체로서의 표현이며, 강인한 의지의 표현이기도 하다. 과거 우리의 전통적 여성상의 모습은 주로 묵묵함, 인내하는 모습이 현재에 이르러서는 자신의 이미지를 부각시키고, '나'라는 주체자로서 승화된 모습으로 변화되었다고 볼 수 있다. 이러한 발전된 여성의 권리가 자연 안에 순응하면서 어우러질 때 그 조화로움이 한층 아름답게 부각될 수 있다고 보며 나의 작품 안에 그 근원을 두었다. 우리의 삶이 예술인 것처럼 방대한 대지의 숨결 안에 무한한 에너지가 숨겨져, 그 에너지는 우리의 생활 안에서 여러 가지의 모습으로 나타난다. 내일에 대한 희망과 무한한 가능성을 내포하고 있는 것처럼 말이다. ■ 김미숙

Existence & Absence II ● The motive of this exhibition is to question the desired woman character of the present considering motherhood its subject in connection with the previous exhibition, Existence & Absence I which approached from the 'I' point of view in the universe, and in which I described the life of a fatherly father with the one of a stickle back. While I tried to express the love and meaning of fatherhood through the devotional love of the stickle back in the Existence & Absence, I'm trying to express, in this exhibition, the infinite possibility of creation and catholicity hidden under the earth by mixing crushed rocks on the background as thinking of woman' self-expression as the expression of the instinct of nature, gestation. The life of a human can be attained only with nature, and in the attributes, there are hope, ambition, spring, cheerful features. Therefore, I've set my subject by combining a woman with the earth whose common attribute is love. The figure of the woman described with simple lines on the background of natural images is an expression of an independent entity and also expression of a strong will. In the past, we can observe that while the classical character of our culture had emphasized patience and obedience, now, on the contrary, women are showing their self images with confidence and their position is sublimated to the subject 'I'. I think that the developed rights of women can be expressed more beautifully when they harmonize with nature, thus I've placed the harmony between them and nature as the root of my work. As our life is art, the hidden enormous energy of the earth shows itself in our life in various ways. It's like it contains the hope for tomorrow and infinite possibilities. ■ Kim misuk
